In recent days, reports of concentration camps in Togo have been reported by numerous media outlets. The whistleblower, Kossi Barth Afolabi, Editor of Maranatha magazine, says he has evidence of the existence of these camps where many innocent people, sometimes from abroad, are the victims of indoctrination.
Indeed, according to his words, "people are leaving Europe, the United States, Canada and some African countries, to converge on Togo in order to live in a community in a camp under the guidance of a guru awaiting the return of Jesus Christ." He also claims that mysterious practices would take place in these places, endangering the lives of several hundred people.
The initiator of this propaganda, a certain Douflé Kokou Gabriel, would prohibit his followers from any contact with the outside world and the use of mobile phones. According to the allegations, the guru has already formed a government and is considering becoming togo's future president.

According to our first sources from the customary authorities, it is in Haho Prefecture that these events take place. However, not all of the facts reported in the newspapers are accurate. Indeed, our investigations show that the canton of Asrama is not involved in this case. The chief canton of Asrama in particular tells us that this story takes place in a village called Kponou located in another canton of Haho prefecture, the canton of Jemeni.
