An Isles Marshall flag ship has just been attacked off the Togolese coast. While announcing the release of the crew members kidnapped last November on the Greek ship Elka Aristotle, three released, one killed, our editorial staff was alerted this Sunday afternoon by a new piracy operation at sea.
According to the information, all but one of the crew members has been abducted, who has managed to hide. Piracy in Togolese waters is taking on a worrying proportion. In this operation, 20 people have been kidnapped and the Togolese maritime security system is reportedly shining due to an inability to secure the ratings. The Togolese maritime authorities are widely criticized on the West African coast in terms of maritime security.
The ship “Duke” in question is an oil giant. The operation being in progress we continue the investigations to bring more precision.
