Togo records its first case of Coronavirus.
The information has just been brought to the attention of the media men by the Togolese government at a press conference.
Covi19 arrived in Togo through a 42-year-old woman, a shopkeeper of Togolese origin since 02 March 2020. “She stayed successively in Benin, Germany, France, Turkey before returning to Lomé via Benin by land,” the government statement said.
The patient who received the consultation showed signs of Coronavirus flu. Samples taken and analyzed at the national laboratory on 05 March 2020 showed a positive result for coronavirus.
