It was announced by the Togolese government and it arrived. A medical brigade of the International Contingent of Cuban Doctors Henry Reeve was welcomed by Prime Minister Selom Klassou, at the primate, on April 13. She came to Togo to bring her expertise to help stem the spread of the new coronavirus on the national territory we were told.
This Cuban medical brigade is made up of a dozen doctors. Among them, epidemiologists, pulmonologists, resanminators, generalists, nurses. According to the Togolese authorities, this coming from the Cuban contingent is a sharing of experiences between the two teams, the result of cooperation between the two countries.
But soon one (1) month that this delegation of Cuban doctors arrived in Togo, curious is the observation that one does not know exactly where it is. On the face of it, their places should be in the CHR Lomé commune. But our investigations have allowed us to understand that none of the Cuban doctors can be found at CHR Lomé Commune, a centre dedicated to welcoming people infected with COVID 19.
How then can we understand that the doctors who have to come to treat the Togolese are not on the designated premises? Are they dealing with other Togolese of a certain level? Wonders the population.
But for the wise, this situation should in no way shock Togolese people if we know the country in which we are with all that surrounds it as an anomaly.
Not long ago, bad languages predicted the virus among some authorities in the country. Names circulated in the period that coincided with the arrival of this contingent of Cuban doctors.
So some go from their analyses by deducing the fact that the Cuban doctors arrived in Lomé not for the Togolese but for a given category of Togolese, the authorities and other friends of Faure Gnassingbé to put it short.
Since the countries in which Cuban doctors intervened, the pandemic has not disappeared, but the number of contaminated cases has largely decreased. But unfortunately the opposite is true in Togo. When the contingent arrived, the Togolese counted his first cases.
Normally, and if doctors were really available to all Togolese, the pandemic should be pretty much under control. Today unfortunately, Togo is at 11 deaths with 181 positive cases. So what are Cuban doctors actually doing? Where are they? They are in the house of those who have appealed to them think some, and for others, they are missing.
Togolese people need to know everything about the management of this pandemic since this situation of Cuban doctors is only the visible part of the Iceberg. The whole management around COVID is a problem.
In the meantime, Togo continues to register its cases at COVID 19.
