08 January 2010, this date will forever be engraved in black ink in the agendas of Togolese football. A whole team, yes the Football Team of Togo, the Spurs who were on their way to defend the country’s colours at the African Cup of Nations were attacked in the enclave of Cabinda in Angola.
This attack dealt a fatal blow to football’s Togo. It cost the lives of two members of the national delegation. They are assistant coach Amélété Abalo and journalist Stan OCLOO.
Ten years after this attack, all football and families continue to suffer martyrdom. On the occasion of this unfortunate anniversary, the AMELETE and OCLOO families have established a mass programme. The program begins on January 1, 2020. The program was revealed in a press release, the full details of which are revealed.
